Test Foundation is a
growth driven non-profit organisation.
Experience has taught us effective solutions to
human health's obstacles.
An organization, like an emerging seed, has
certain variables which determine the success of
its growth. Recognizing and understanding how to
manage these variables is the core of TEST™.
Building the right plan for success is the key
to reaping a great harvest. Growth isn’t just
our mantra. It’s our passion.
Cast off your limitations. Expand your vision.
Then reap the rewards. Get acquainted with
TEST™ and start the process to grow without
limits.
TEST Foundation has been involved
in HIV AIDS as the major focus area since 2003.
We cover more than 50 villages in Guntur and
Prakasam district. Last year we forged a
collaboration with AIDS desk of National
Lutheran Health and Medical Board of UELCI,
which largely supports the hospice run for the
terminally ill. We also work in tandem with
PREPARE in the villages in the geographic area
covered by PREPARE’s Healthy Highway Project.
Our main target community consists of all the
PLHA and their families living in and around
Chilakaluripet. We work with sexworkers,
vulnerable youth and children as well.
The nerve centre for our program is Shanti
Nilayam, a clinic cum hospice in a rented
building in Chilaklauripet town. This was
initiated last year with a lot of opposition
from the local residents who fear the infection.
The landlord has been extremely supportive to
us. Now we have 12 beds which are almost always
occupied. The patients are admitted mainly in
Stage 3 or 4 of the disease when there is no one
to care for them. Some of them go back home when
they are better. Many die here. The hospice
provides free care. Patients who commence ARV
are admitted here for a few days till they feel
confident to go home. This also helps to ensure
that side effects are dealt with so that drug
compliance would be better.
